What is ElevenLabs and what does it do?
ElevenLabs is an AI audio company. In February 2026 it raised $500 million, led by Sequoia, at an $11 billion valuation, according to TechCrunch. One account and one credit balance give you:
- Text to speech: paste a script, pick a voice, download the audio. The pricing page lists 74 languages on every plan; the newest model, Eleven v4, supports 90+.
- Voice cloning. An instant clone needs less than two minutes of audio. A professional clone needs longer training audio and a Creator plan or above.
- Dubbing, which translates a video into 90+ languages and keeps each speaker's tone.
- Sound effects from a text description, up to 30 seconds per clip.
- Eleven Music, which writes tracks from a prompt, with or without vocals.
- Speech to text, for transcripts and captions.
ElevenLabs pricing: every plan on 5 November 2026
ElevenLabs has six self-serve plans, from Free to Business at $990 a month, plus Enterprise on quote. Prices exclude taxes, so VAT comes on top. Prices checked on 5 November 2026 on elevenlabs.io/pricing.

|---|---|---|---|---|

| Starter | $6 | $5 | 30,000 (about 30 min) | Commercial license, instant cloning, Dubbing Studio |
| Creator | $22 ($11 the first month) | $18.33 | 121,000 (about 121 min) | 1 professional voice clone |

| Scale | $299 | $249.17 | 1,800,000 | 3 seats, 3 professional clones |

Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12. On the Multilingual v2 model, one character costs one credit. On paid plans, unused credits roll over for up to two months, with a ceiling of three times your monthly quota; you lose them if you cancel or downgrade. The Starter card also showed a $1 first month next to a promotion banner whose end date had passed, so check the price at checkout.
What does the ElevenLabs free plan include?
The ElevenLabs free plan gives 10,000 credits a month, about 10 minutes of speech, with text to speech, speech to text, sound effects, Voice Design and music. It is enough to choose a voice and test a script. For a seller, four limits matter:
- No commercial license. ElevenLabs states that the free plan "cannot be used for any commercial purpose", which rules out ads and product videos.
- Free-plan audio never becomes commercial. Only content generated during a paid subscription can be, so upgrading later doesn't clear it.
- If you publish free-plan audio, you must put "elevenlabs.io" or "11.ai" in its title.
- No voice cloning, watermarked dubs, and no rollover of unused credits.
Test on the free plan, then generate the audio you will publish on a paid plan.
How to use ElevenLabs for AI voiceover in ads
A 30-second ad voiceover uses about 500 credits per take, based on ElevenLabs' figure of about 1,000 credits per minute of speech. Automatic dubbing without a watermark costs 3,000 credits per minute. That gives each plan a rough monthly capacity:
| Plan | Credits | 30-second takes | Dubbed minutes (automatic, no watermark) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 30,000 | about 60 | 10 |
| Creator | 121,000 | about 240 | 40 |
| Pro | 600,000 | about 1,200 | 200 |
Retakes cost the same as first takes: with three takes per script, Starter covers about 20 finished voiceovers a month. Dubbing Studio costs more, 10,000 credits per minute without a watermark.
For an e-commerce brand, ElevenLabs voices product ads and UGC-style videos, where a video tool such as Kling AI or SpyBox Crea provides the face. A clone of your own voice keeps every video consistent; clone only your voice or one you have permission to use. Dubbing turns a winning ad into German or Spanish versions to test a new market. Paid plans also clear music and sound effects for commercial work, except film, TV and studio games.
A method for a voiced UGC ad
- Find a product that already sells on TikTok Shop in Kalodata.
- Look it up in PiPiAds and note the hooks of the ads that keep running.
- Write a 30-second script from those angles with ChatGPT or Claude.
- Generate the voiceover in ElevenLabs, two or three takes, and keep the best one.
- Make the visuals in Kling AI or SpyBox Crea, then add captions in Submagic.
- Dub the finished ad in ElevenLabs for each market you want to test.
Most tools in this method are included in SpyBox. Assets you make through SpyBox can run in your ads. Results depend on your product and offer as much as on the voice.

ElevenLabs review: strengths and limits
Strengths, from ElevenLabs' own documentation:
- 74 languages for text to speech and 90+ for dubbing, on every plan.
- A commercial license from $6 a month.
- Voice, dubbing, sound effects and music on one credit balance.
Limits:
- Free-plan audio can't be used commercially, even after an upgrade.
- Dubbing uses credits fast: 10 minutes of automatic dubbing without a watermark empties Starter.
- Rolled-over credits are lost if you cancel or downgrade, and beta features can't be used commercially.
Who is ElevenLabs for, and who should skip it?
ElevenLabs suits sellers who publish voiced ads every week, brands that test new countries with dubbed versions of a winning ad, and creators who want one consistent voice across their UGC.
Skip it if you want a talking avatar in one tool: ElevenLabs makes audio only, so you still need a video generator.
Verdict
ElevenLabs covers what an ad voiceover needs in 2026: 74 languages, cloning, dubbing and a commercial license from $6 a month. Its free plan is for testing only. Pick Starter for a few ads a month, Creator for weekly production with a professional clone, and Pro or above for agencies and heavy dubbing.
ElevenLabs alternatives
HeyGen, not included in SpyBox, makes avatar videos with a cloned voice and translates videos. Its free plan gives 3 watermarked videos a month of up to one minute each. Creator costs $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, and translates into 175 languages and dialects.
Kling AI, included in SpyBox, generates the video itself. To compare it with Runway, Veo or Hailuo, read our Kling AI alternatives. For the whole category, read our guide to the best AI video generator for ads.
ElevenLabs in SpyBox
ElevenLabs is one of the 35 tools in SpyBox, a desktop app for Windows and Mac, at €29.99 a month or €249.99 a year. You launch it from the app, and it runs on your SpyBox credits: 100,000 a month on full-price monthly plans and on all yearly plans.
According to the SpyBox credits page, 100,000 credits cover 300,000+ characters of ElevenLabs text to speech, or 22 to 150 minutes of dubbing depending on the mode. The same credits pay for AI images and video, in Kling or SpyBox Crea, and for PiPiAds searches. Most tools, like ChatGPT, Claude or Minea, don't use credits at all.
Bought separately, PiPiAds Basic ($49 a month) and ElevenLabs Creator ($22) already cost $71 a month, before any video tool. SpyBox includes both, plus Kling, Kalodata, ChatGPT and Submagic, for €29.99. This compares each vendor's list prices. In SpyBox, every tool opens on its top plan. Image, video and voice tools draw on your monthly SpyBox credits. If voice is all you need, ElevenLabs Starter or Creator on its own costs less.

FAQ
Is ElevenLabs free?
Yes. The free plan gives 10,000 credits a month, about 10 minutes of speech, with text to speech, sound effects and music. It has no voice cloning and no commercial license. You can't use its audio in ads, and if you publish it elsewhere, you must credit ElevenLabs in the title.
How much does ElevenLabs cost?
On 5 November 2026, ElevenLabs costs $6 a month for Starter, $22 for Creator, $99 for Pro, $299 for Scale and $990 for Business, before tax. Billed yearly, you pay 10 months for 12, so Starter drops to $5 a month.
Can I use ElevenLabs voices in Facebook or TikTok ads?
Yes, from the Starter plan at $6 a month. Every paid plan includes a commercial license, and audio generated during a paid subscription stays usable commercially. Audio made on the free plan, or with a feature in beta, can't be used in ads, even after you upgrade.
How many minutes do 10,000 ElevenLabs credits give?
About 10 minutes of speech on the Multilingual v2 model, where one character costs one credit. That is roughly 20 takes of a 30-second ad script. Dubbing costs 2,000 to 10,000 credits per minute depending on the mode and the watermark, so 10,000 credits dub 1 to 5 minutes.
Does ElevenLabs speak French, Spanish or German?
Yes. ElevenLabs lists 74 languages for text to speech on every plan, and its dubbing covers 90+ languages, so you can turn an English ad into French, Spanish or German versions with the speaker's tone kept. The newer dubbing model also handles dialects such as Brazilian Portuguese.
